what are my rights as a partner in real estate with boyfriend

i would like to know what my rights are due to a verball agrrment in which my boyfriend and i found a house to buy he agreed to put down payment and i pay mortgage every month i have all my reciepts and deposits he has none i have paid the water bill although in his name with money orders or w/check i have also invested lots of money and time to remodel house of which i have all receipt i didnt put my name on title because i had to clear up a tax issue

now we are not together since january 2005 but i still live in house and pay all bills mortgage and maintenance such as lawn pool everthing if i decide to move can i be reimbursed in ten years he has slept in my house or this one and never paid a bill i feel he owes me something one way or the other and now he thinks he can claim this money on bills that i have paid for in his tax returns what are my options many other things to note but not here
