Legal Question in Military Law in Massachusetts

Hi iam 17 and i signed up for the national guard and i completed basic training this past summer down at fort bennin in GA. iam in Infantry iam a split op that means i do basic 1 summer then go back the next summer to finish my ait training. Iam also still in highschool and i need to finish my senior year. As i came back after basic training i relized that i don't belong in the army is there anyway for a split op to get out legaly with out going to jail or paying fines?

Your chain if command would have to endorse your being dropped, which is unlikely, but not impossible, now that tey have spent the money to send you to BCT at Fort Benning.

If you fail to attend Guard Drill weekends, you could be dropped from the unit roster and transferred to the IRR (Individual Ready Reserve); with the war going on, the IRR is used to fill vacancies in deploying units, so your likelihood of being deployed might increase. I recommend you talk to your nearest Legal Assistance Officer (JAG) and review your current options.
