If you are injured in a hit and run accident, uninsured motorist will cover the damages so long as the owner of the vehicle carried uninsured motorist on the policy. Under uninsured motorist it will be treated like most other auto accident cases. Your medical bills and lost wages will be paid for and you will be compensated for the pain and suffering.

I recently wrote on my blog about the seriousness of auto accidents and pregnant woman. Here is a link. http://www.rhodeislandinjurylawyerblog.com/2009/12/auto-accidents-and-pregnant-wo.html. It is very important that you follow up with an attorney as soon as possible.

Please feel free to contact my office and I will be happy to answer any other questions that you may have. Best of luck.

The insurer of the owner of the car in which you were riding should be responsible for your medical bills and you should consider retaining an attorney to represent you and your unborn child should your injuries be serious. Good Luck!
