Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

I was awarded $9,000 for a work related injury in January of 2008 and my lawyer is doing nothing to go after it. It happened in NH and I live in Ma and went to court in MA. I need my money now to hang on to my home> Is there a way to get my money?

Mike

There is a provision in the workers' comp. statute, which provides for a penalty is the matter is not paid within 90 days. Please contact me if you would like me to help you with this matter.

Sorry to hear of your collection difficulties. Your first contact should be to your original attorney in writing ( by certified mail return receipt requested) requesting an update and that your collection of these funds be expedited. If this fails, you may contact this Office for assistance in collecting thesefunds and staving off foreclosure of your home. Time is usually of the essence in these matters. Good Luck!

If a certified letter to your original attorney fails, retain new counsel. Good Luck!
