Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

claim for lost wages

The Ins. Co. is now figureing payment for injuries recieved last year for me.My Question is: my husband and I own a Construction/Building company,we have filed joint tax returns for the last 30 years on the business. My husband lost $50k in income for the last 6 months staying home to take care of me. Can I claim this as my lost wages?

Can I claim my health ins. premium of $1,200 per month as

being part of the claim? I will need medical care for the injuries for the rest of my life. I am a 55 yr.old female.

Thank you so much for any input that you may have.

Re: claim for lost wages

If you haven't already retained an attorney to represent you on this claim do so. Your husband has a separate claim against the person (s) who caused your injury for his loss of consortium, i.e. his marital companionship with you which includes funds he expended or income lost while caring for you during your injury recovery.
