person with access to my apartment has physically threatened me

I live in Massachusetts, and my roommate has decided to move out on May 31. Her boyfriend, who has a key to the apartment, has physically threatened me. What are my options?

1) Change the locks with the landlord's permission AND KEY TO LANDLORD.

2) IF THREAT WAS TO COMMIT A CRIME,report it to the police or seek a criminal complaint from the clerk of the District Court.

3) Apply to District Court Clerk for a restraining order under General Laws c. 209A.

Good Luck!

You can report it to the police and have criminal charges pressed. Obviously you can also change the locks.
