How do you amend an existing property deed?

If you need to change the legal description or correct an error in the deed you have to file a corrected confirmatory deed signed by the original grantor or grantors, assuming it is a scrivener's error or something similar.

If the change is to simply change the owner, then you need to have a new deed filed signed by the existing owner(s) to the new owner(s).
