new landlord

i am leasing a restaurant with 5+5 year option,this is my fourth year.recently the building was sold to another tanant next to me, i know he wants to expand his space. can he force me out while i sitll have 6 year left on lease? does he have to renew my lease for another 5 year if i so choose?

if he has right to but me out, if so at what price?

Hi,

Good question. This is a contracts case. What does the written agreement say? If you have the right to renew for 5 more years, you do. Maybe you can sell that right. That also depends on the contract. You should hire a lawyer to review the contract and advise you of your requirements, rights and opportunities. I can't say which legal time deadlines apply to your situation.
