Offer to Purchase

If an owner is out of state and signs an offer to purchase and faxes or emails back, is it legal as a copy

If the signature on the offer was faxed back, the answer is yes.

If the e-mail coming back with the offer reflects it as having come from the person making or accepting the offer, then the answer likewise is yes.

While you may be able to rely on them in the absence of the original, you should still insist on receiving the original hard copy signature which is the best evidence. Good Luck!
