How many days by law from the first of the month do you have to pay the rent?

If your rent is due on the first, you must pay on the first or the landlord may serve you with a notice to terminate your tenancy for nonpayment of rent. The date the rent is due is determined at the beginning of the tenancy unless changed by agreement of both parties. There is no "grace" period. If you fail to pay on the first, the landlord may send a notice to terminate on the second.
