Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

School Loan

I have been told that my taxes will be taken to pay for a school loan that I have been unaware of as I thought that I was given a grant. Also, the school has been sending this supposed bill to an unknown address for several years, hence me not being aware of it. Can they take my tax refund?
