Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

tax levy banks

I only have one bank account but got letters for levy on a bunch of other banks. Can I still cash checks at all these other banks

while i'm trying to work this out

or can they keep the money from

these checks

The limitations of a tax levy are that it affects those banks in notice; therefore, nothing prohibits you from opening a new account at a bank that has not received one. Those banks who have received levies will take the proceeds from any checks you attempt to cash there.
