Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

Hello) Thank you first of all for having this available to us. In April this year my mother passed , my father previously as well. My brother called me up to inform me many months later , in August I believe, that I was to receive an inheritance of cash from their savings and liquidations of stocks, that we would be splitting the total and that he is inheriting all the property and house per our parent's will. Now I have not heard or received anything else since. I am wondering if I should request a copy of the will as I do not know how long the statute of limitations is in Massachusetts. I have not lived there in over 25 yrs. Thank you for your much appreciated information.

As an heir you must be served with a copy of the probate petition. The person probating the will should provide a copy of the will upon request. The will becomes a public document upon filing in court. You can get a copy from the court.
