Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

Deceased Uncle's House

My great uncle passed away last August and had a legal will. He left one property to my brother's and one to a distant relative. 1. Does this have to go to probate? The will also set up a scholarship fund. Now, after 10 months have passed my brothers have to come up with the state taxes on the house to cover the scholarship fund or they have to sell the house. Do they have to cover the scholaship fund?

Re: Deceased Uncle's House

Under Massachusetts law wills must be probated within thirty days after death. What must be done for the estate of a deceased is determined by the will if one exists. Probate the will to start resolving all issues.
