mothers funeral bill

i was unable to pay for my mothers funeral and the lawyers office said i had 30 days to make payment arrangments,last night they came and took my car and i was wondering can they auction the car without the title which i currently possess.

If they have a writ of attachment they can attach your car and sell it if you signed for the funeral expenses. If they did not have a judgment or a court order there is a problem with what they did.

If the car was your mother's then they may be able to attach it as a claim against the estate.

You may want to contact a bankruptcy attorney if they are pursuing you and you need the car for work.

They cannot take a car that is in your name or any other items that is in your name. Call the police.
