Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

after paying everything, there was still money in the account for my mothers will. did my lawyer add wrong and what, as the executor, should i do?

You should check with your lawyer. Maybe there are additional expenses you don't know about. Or maybe he or she did add incorrectly. Either way, you will probably have to (1) pay the unpaid expenses, or (2) distribute any "extra" funds according to the terms of the will, or equally among the heirs if there was no will.
