Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

I have been on SSI for 4 years. If I inherit anything from a relative, is it possible that Social Security will allow me to use that to buy a home and a vehicle, ( which I do not have) and still keep my SSI?

What else would they do , if I had extra money left over..... put it into a trust fund, then stop my SSI?

It is my understand that it will not effect your ssi, since it comes to you through inheritance and not as income. I would look it up but the All star game is on.

Receipt of assets may affect your eligibility. There are different ways of preserving your eligibility so that you may not lose benefits. I would need more information to provide a full answer. Please call if you have additional questions.
