comp nightmare

i was hurt at work in 1999.2 prior back surguries 1995 and another for my 1999 work injury.out of work recovering and been told i cant do the work i was doing any more. employer offerd light duty , i refused the job because the job was not a union position and i still haven't recoverd, they terminated my job and comp benifits. my dr told me i will have a permanet functional limitation . can i recieve any monetary damages for permanet functional limitation in massachusetts? and can you tell me what the ama's guide to permanet physical impairment would ratr my whole person loss?

You should have a claim filed with the IAB (Industrial Accident Board) for your worker's comp claim. If the insurance company canceled your comp, go to the IAB, if the company did so, complaint to HR and then go to the IAB. As to your position, after you're out more than 12 weeks, the company no longer needs to hold your job open.
