My brother was hurt in an accident over 30 yrs ago and has been rec'g comp. from Aetna/$92./wk. Can he now settle this claim. He has a brain injury and is permanently disabled. He is now 56 yrs. oldThe insurance co. is out of NH

Thank you very much for your inquiry. I am sorry to hear about your brother's head injury. Is he able to act on his own behalf, or does he have a power of attorney, a guardian or conservator to make decisions for him? If it is in his best interests to go after a lump sum, then I'd be happy to assist. The insurance company may be willing to negotiate a lump sum settlement. I would hire an expert or do some of my own research to determine the appropriate settlement range. It may also be possible to review the amount of his weekly payment.
