Legal Question in Family Law in Mexico

Divorced Parent Taking Child on Vacation out of Country

My son's dad and I have joint legal custody of my son. I have physical custody of my son. I want to take my son on vacation to Mexico which requires a notarized letter from the absent parent. If I am unable to contact other parent does the fact that I have physical custody allow me to take him on vacation without the other parent's authorization?

To answer I need to see your divorce judgment to determine how it addresses this issue. If not addressed you may have to apply to the Court that issued it seeking alternate permission to take the child out of country without a notarized permission from the absent parent upon documantation verifying you have exhausted efforts to contact the absent parent.
