Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan

Can I still Appeal

If I had a judgement levied against me, Motioned for a new trial and was denied, does the time to file for appeal get extended?

time to appeal after trial

In NY the rule is nothing extends the time, though arguably bankruptcy will stay all actions inculding appeal. You need to consult an attorney or an appellate court clerk in your state as to the time to make the appeal and as to the extension.

This transmission is not legal advice, nor does it imply an attorney client relationship. It is always my opinion that consultation with an attorney after setting out all the facts is the only proper way to receive legal advice.
