Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan

Re-appeal

Our court case against the City of Alpena was not heard by an appeal judge (he denied it?) We believe our current attorney failed to comply with time lines we arent sure...but somethings not right. We took this case to trial in Alpena Mich. and won. When we filed a law-suit against the city....anyways. We want to re-appeal this case. Can we do this with a NEW and different attorney? And is there a statue of limitations for ''time allowed to do so?'' Im trying to make this short. Others that were involved in this case settled out of court and ours wasnt even heard. The FBI was supposed to be investigating this case. Said we had the strongest case of the 5 or 6. Because of a video tape we have. Somethings just not right. We need help real bad and are up in arms and dont know were to turn. We want and need an attorney thats not local.

Can someone please answer our questions and give us an idea were to begin?

Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs.--name removed--Spigelmyre

Re: Re-appeal

No one can give you an opinion with the sparse information that you gave. Explain to me in a nutshell what the underlying case was about, what happened in the lower court, who appealed and on what basis, etc. Bill Stern
