Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan

Bankruptcy for marital mobile home

Couple lives in mobile home while married. Divorce takes place. Husband leaves mobile home to ex.

Ex doesn't want mobile home, remarries, and walks away from it eventually.

Ex wife also files for bankruptcy. Mobile home is repossessed. Husband doesn't file for bankruptcy since credit is very good. However bankruptcy affects husband's credit as well. Now into the 4th year of bankruptcy.

Question: Can husband have his name removed legally from bankruptcy to clear his name since it wasn't him that filed and had no need to file??

Re: Bankruptcy for marital mobile home

Is Husband's name on the debt? Husband's name should not be on the bankruptcy since he did not file, but if he is a co-debtor on the mobile home, he continues to be liable. This may require going to the credit reporting agencies to correct his credit report but will also require dealing with the debt related to the mobile home (assuming there is a deficiency).
