Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan

I have retained and paid an attorney to file bankruptcy for my wife and I. He has told he will file so we can get a case number. He has yet to do this and is now not answering any of my calls or emails. My phone is being torn up by companies I owe. What can I do about this attorney not filing for me?

I have retained and paid an attorney to file bankruptcy Most all bankruptcy attorneys want to file your case after they have been retained and paid.

1. Have you paid all of your fee's? Most debtors use the term paid quite loosely.

2. Have provided the attorney with all of the supporting documents that he has requested?

3. If you are on a payment plan have you completed all of you payments?

If you can answer no to any part of the above questions, then you need go no further.
