Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan

I was purposely slandered on ebay

I run an ebay business full time as my only income. Earlier this week, an angry customer purchased 70 items from us under an older screen name with the intentions of leaving negative feedback. The purchase itself was suspicious as the screen name had been idle for two years, and he had no previous inquiries about price. We contacted ebay with our suspicions and informed the buyer that we were refusing the sale and gave them contact information to our wholesale dealer who give a serious buyer a better deal. With no contact, he proceeded to leave us 70 Negative feedback, thereby crippling our business. his statements included ''LOOK AT THEIR FEEDBACK, THEY'RE CROOKS'' and ''BAD''. Our feedback has dramatically declined along with our purchases for the weekend. from last weekend to this weekend, our sales have declined about 100 items, roughly $900, our average weekend. The loss of money will increase if this feedback is not removed and we could potentially be put out of business. Also, i am concerned about the loss of customers for life, as these feedbacks have been viewed over 1000 times today alone.

Re: I was purposely slandered on ebay

In my opinion, eBay is a very heavy-handed company that tolerates many forms of fraud on its website. I have written two articles concerning this fraud myself. If you search on the Internet for "eBay and fraud," you will find dozen of complaints from consumers and sellers just like you. Obviously, eBay should remove the 70 bogus negative feedback responses. However, if eBay will not remove those from your account, why don't you consider writing an article about your eBay experience and publicize it all over the web. I can help you with the article for free if you like.
