Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan

we sold a car today private party. All paperwork completed, signed, and copied. Four hours later they are calling us saying the car is messing up and leaking fluids. do we have any legal obligation to them?

As a Franchise Attorney I basically agree with the other attorney. Also, it's always a good idea to have "sold as is" on the bill of sale, as well as another statement that the buyer has had the opportunity to take the vehicle to an automatic mechanic. These acknowledgments will short circuit many, many problems. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
