Judge dismissed hearing case

Can a judge hear a dm case after being dismissed from hearing a ds case same litigants.Can she dismiss the case stating it is closed when it is not

I've been a lawyer almost 30 years in active practice and don't know what you are talking about. What is a dm case? This normally is the code used in a divorce wih minor children. However, a divorce without children is a do case and you used the term ds. I am not familiar with that term. William S. Stern
