Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

police brutality

was assulted by police at 38 yrs of age thrown in jail never arrained before bail was set at 1000 dollars charged w/ resisting arrest and felonious assault of an officer- I was stopped for speeding BTW/ a ticket was not issued and there is film supporting my position, I did not retaliate or respond in any hostile fashion in fact I attempted to support the officer in an endeavor to truth but I was maced threatened, dragged to the ground and taunted to elict a hostile response my question is what is the statute of limitations for civil suite or process of redress?
