Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Michigan

Dear sirs;

Recently their was a hurtful, maliouse lie started about me and not only was it voiced phyiscally, it was also placed on the internet (facebook) and "someone" -I now know who- placed plyers in all the mailboxes on and around my street. The local police department even got one and investatgated it and also found it to be a LIE. Is there not something I can do to the people that started this and their is record of???
