Legal Question in Construction Law in Michigan

I have contracted with a builder for new home construction. I have discussed with him on numerous occasions my intention to park my RV trailer alongside the house. The foundation has now been poured putting my house within 5 feet of the property line, completely eliminating any possibiltiy of putting anything alongside the house at all. He claims he has done the best he could "within the building envelope". However, even though he knew what we wanted (he had even agreed to put the fill in place for the pad), he never showed us the survey with the house footprint on it, never notified us that there wasn't going to be enough space for the pad, never contacted us at all. Had we known there were any potential issues, we'd have chosen a different lot.

I have given him a 10% deposit and he is carrying the construction loan. At this point, what recourse do I have? Right now, I'd almost just as soon have my deposit back and let him sell the house himself.
