Can a car that is been financed be reported as stolen if payments haven't been made in two and half months?

If you own the car, but you haven't made payments, you still own the car, but the seller/lender may have a right to repossess the car. Unless the seller repossessed the car, it was stolen, and should be reported. Call the lender/seller before reporting it as stolen. This may save you from the embarrassment of filing a false police report.
