Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Car repossession

Instead of having our car taken by the bank, we are considering returning the car to the dealer who sold us the car. This was one suggestion given to me from the bank employee who I talked to.

Re: Car repossession

The bank employee has no business giving you legal advice which, by the way, may be very bad advice. Returning the car to the dealership if you have a lemon law case may not be a bad idea. Otherwise, if you just return it to the dealership, you will still owe the loan balance to the bank. Maybe the bank just does not have a place to store the car and wants the dealership to carry the burden of storage.

You need to make an educated decision which may mean you should consult with an attorney. I do charge a consulation fee for these matters.
