In collections for a car. I am now no longer working but have a minimum income. The collection agency refuse to reduce payment amount any lower after several request. Can I go to court and have judgement payments reduced? Can't afford a lawyer at present.

Re: Collections

Yes, you can file a motion for installment payments. You can pick up the form at the court. It will be up to the judge to decide how much you should pay, but you will need to state how much you can afford to pay in the motion. The instructions for filling out and filing the motion should be included with the motion.
