Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

conned by mom

my mother duped me into co-signing for a federal SBA loan. I'm 30 now & she still hasn't repaid it. i'm receiving menacing letters which threaten the livelihood of my self and 3 infants. She should suffer the litigation and/or prosecution not me. I learned what she did 2 yrs ago and have been

''hiding'', hoping she'd do right.

Re: conned by mom

The lender can sue both you and her, that is why they had you co-sign, so they would have multiple people to go after. If this debt is large, you may want to consult a bankruptcy attorney about this.
