credit card calls

I have a credit card that I cancelled and have been paying back as much as I can but normally on time.

Tonite I recieved not one call but two with in one half of an hour.

The first rep Ihad to correct my name 5 or 6 times then verified the account with and told her I could not pay now and hung up on the second call the rep got my name right and when Itold him I had already spoken to some boby he said yea right and giggled I got his boss on the phone and was told that the calls will continue no matter how maney times a day until the min pay ment was met is this allowed by law and is recording my phone calls illegal

Your remedy depends on whether the calls are coming from a collection agency or from the creditor. If from a collection agency, they may have violated the FDCPA which prohibits making a phone ring incessantly.
