Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

My husband received a summons and complaint on a repo for a gulf stream travel trailer in the middle of June. On the summons it does not state a court date, just that the creditor are taking him to court.

Then this week a defaultregrquest, affidavit, entry and judgment came. Showing the amount due on camper trailer. Showing a default judgment, how can this be default if we didn't know court date and what can we do from here?

If you read the summons carefully, you have a duty to answer the complaint within 21 or 28 days if served by mail. No court date is set, nor required. Now he may already be in default, which can be set aside within 21 days after being entered if you have a defense to the case. You need to speak with an attorney and fast! Tim Klisz kliszlaw.com
