Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Scam

A couple of months ago, I received an e-mail to join, what I thought was a legitamate business for a mystery shopper. I was to open an account and give the account number to the person who had hired me (I was the only person with access to my account). THe morning of the mystery shop, I was contacted and told that the money was in my account. I completed the mystery shop and told I could keep $100 of the money I withdrew. My bank then wrote me a letter a month later stating that the money was not authorized to go into my account and now I owe the bank a lot of money. Is there anyway I can get out of paying it back? I was scammed!! My account is now closed and the report went to collections HELP!!
