Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Suit from Real Estate Broker to Sales Person for office fees

I was recently was handed papers from my former Real Estate Office for un-paid fees that accrued while working for Real Estate One Broker in 2005. I left the office in 2006 and became employed at another office. They are suing me for $732 on based fees that are for lawyer, web and office fees. While I was working at the office, I didnt make any commission.

I need to know what my options are? Do they have the right to charge me, as an independent contractor, how would my fee occur. I never made any commission. Some helpful advice would be nice.

It all depends on what your agreement was with Real Estate One. You need to read your contract or take it to an attorney for assistance. You can probably get a good consultation for about $100.

Good luck.
