Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

If a 15 year old gets a 17 year old pregnant can a 17 year old go to jail? What if the 15 year olds parents are ok with it? How big of a chance is there that the 17 year old would get in trouble? Can they legally keep the baby together?

Yes, the 17 year old could go to jail. How big of a chance? If charges are filed, it will be a problem, even though the 17 year old was the one that got pregnant. But there are ways to avoid that.

As I mentioned in your first question, the answer is yes. If someone has sex with a 15 year old, that person can be charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct and go to prison. The 15 year-old's parents cannot be ok with it because the law says a 15 year old cannot have sex. Parents cannot give permission for a child to have sex. If they do, then they can also face charges.
