getting an arrest record expunged from my record

i was arrested for contempt of court in 2007. the case in which i was a material witness was dismissed because of lack of evidence. I have no charege but there is an arrest record. how can i get the record expunged in the state of michigan.

Were you convicted of criminal contempt? If you have a conviction you must wait 5 years before you can file a petition to set aside the conviction, further you can only have one conviction (the conviction your trying to set aside) and any other convictions on your record will preclude you from being able to get it or any other conviction set aside. If you have no conviction, then you may request that the Michigan State Police supress or make nonpublic your arrest record and finger print file.
