File an objection to the garnishment. Use the form that you can get at the courthouse. Also, call the collection attorney and explain the source of the funds. They may agree to release it. Also file a motion for installment payments and ask the court to set a payment that you cm afford. If you cannot afford payments, consult with a bankruptcy attorney.

The bank fees will not be refunded by the court. Ask the bank branch manager if the fees can be reduced or refunded. The bank probably won't budge on their fees, but it's worth a try.
