Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

My daughters father my soon to be ex husband, was accused of molesting his other daughter. His daughter has went to the police and told them that this never happend. Now they want to question our nine year old daughter. Can I go with her when they question her?

They may want to forensically interview your daughter. When that happens, no one is in the interview room except the forensic interviewer and the child. Forensic interviewers are trained to put a child at ease in the interview and obtain information without leading the child to say anything in particular. If it is not a forensic interview, you can be with your daughter.
