Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

DUID & possession of controlled substances

I recently was arrested for DUID and possesion of controlled substances. I had a prescription for Darvocet and had them in my pocket without the bottle due to the bottle getting damaged and then I had some Ativan that my grandmother gave me to help me sleep. I know I can prove the Darvocet, but of course, I am at fault for the Ativan. The thing is, I had taken the Darvocet for my back pain, which wasn't relieving the pain, so I took another. I pulled in a gas station and felt really funny. I couldn't find my wallet (apparently, I left it at another store), so I was a little confused. A police officer happened to pull in the gas station and thought I looked suspicious. I don't really remember anything after that because I pretty much blacked out. I am sure I had too much of the Darvocet. I don't recall (honestly) taking any Ativan, but apparently according to my ER report for the consented legal draw, I admitted to taking Ativan, Marijuana, and Alcohol - which seems to be error because my alcohol level was 0. Regardless, I was taken to jail and spent 1-1/2 days. I was bonded out for the DUID. They told me I might have a warrant for the possession coming. How does this work? I have never been in trouble at all before!

Re: DUID & possession of controlled substances

How does WHAT work? You're charged with some very serious crimes. You very much need to have an experienced and aggressive attorney involved in your case. It's pretty silly to try to understand all of the complications and ramifications of you case by asking a question on the internet. Check out:
