what happens when the court amends a motion to use other acts notice?the prosecutor is trying to use MRE404(b)

First of all the court does not amend a motion to introduce character evidence. The court grants a motion to introduce such evidence. Notice must be given to the defense in advance of such evidence being introduced. Why don't you have a lawyer? Sounds like the case is a tough one if 404b evidence is at issue.
