Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I have a friend that has a warrant out for his arrest for a probation violation/unpaid fines. Is he allowed to obtain a passport? His mother is in Mexico and is sick, he wants to go and see her.

Your friend needs to contact an experienced attorney to set aside the bench warrant and deal with the probation violation. It will not go away, and why risk not being able to see his sick mother? I routinely handle these matters and am happy to assist. Contact me for more information.

It will depend on what the warrant is for and how so there it is. They could deny him a passport based upon that. The best thing to do is to get the warrant matter cleared up so he can then move on to the passport situation. Contact an experienced criminal attorney in your area and perhaps even a criminal attorney that deals with immigration issues as well.

The more important issue is that your friend would likely be arrested at the border crossing if there is an outstanding warrant. He should contact an aggressive criminal lawyer that has handled these cases before. You can read more at:
