If I am 18 years of age and the car is in my parents name, can i receive an M.I.P for having four beers in my trunk?

If you are a minor in possession, you can be charged with being a minor in possession.

You're a minor. You have possession of the beer. Ergo, you are a minor in possession.
How the officer gains access to the trunk of the car remains a mystery.
