Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I plead guilty but mentally ill to a crime that I did not commit and have done the prison time. I need to know how to legally clear my name and prove I was innocent.

Depending on the crime you plead guilty to and your prior record, you may be able to get the conviction set aside. Michigan's statute to set convictions aside is MCL 780.621. If your situation falls within the statute and you decide to move forward with getting the conviction set aside, you would be wise to seek the help of an attorney.
