Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

my son was charged with armed robbery, assault with attempt while armed and felony firearms. He is 18yo no record, never had contact with the police. They just offered to drop all charges come back with unarmed robbery 2 years with hyta in the thumb for young offenders. The discovery has not been released yet. So my question is .....Is this a good deal ? They only have 2 victims statements and they are different( 1 said he pointed a gun and knows him. the other said he lifted his shirt and cant point him out) The 1st one made 2 police reports, 1 that was enough to send my son to cicurit court but the other one they have not released yet in discovery. ..........................Thank you in advance for your comments. also this is in wayne county

It would help to know more of the facts. If it looks like your son will not be acquitted, the hyta deal is good. He is in control. All he has to do is successfully complete his sentence under hyta and he will not have a conviction. You should definitely talk to his attorney about this.
