Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Wrong charges based on false police report by arresting officer!! Help!

My mother and I were arguing when the police were called. When the police officer arrived, I was attempting to break a shovel on our front porch. When I saw him, I knew what was going to happen, so I swung the shovel one more time at the porch, dropped it, then complied. At this time the officer did place me under arrest. He then told me to not move and to ''shut up''. At this point I told my mother that I loved her and wanted to say that I was sorry, but the arresting officer then grabbed me and slammed me into the hood of a nearby vehicle . At this time, backup had arrived and the other officer brought me to his patrol car. It was then I was informed I would be charged with felonious assault.

The Charges:

Count: 1 750.81d(1) assaulting resisting a police

officer. felony

Count: 2 750.81(1) assualt or assault and battery.

misdemeanor

These charges are based on a police report stating that I resisted arrest, attacked the officer(s) and was swinging the shovel at my mother. My mother will testify against this report. my court appointed attorney seems to be fighting for a lesser sentence, rather than a not guilty verdict. HELP!!!
