Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Michigan

Dog

I honestly dont know what area of law this would fall under.

Ok, I live in a trailer park and signed a lease. The lease said we can have pet but have to register them at the office. However not long after I moved in I got a not in my MAIL box saying no more pets. People can keep the current pets they have but no more after that. It says in the lease one pet per household but theres people here that have 3 dogs per household. I guess my question is can they change something in the middle of a lease? I want to get a dog for pet therapy. Shes not yet certified but I plan on getting her certified. Odd question I know but I need to know where I stand legaly. Thanks so much for your time.

Re: Dog

Read your contract. Did they reserve the right to change the lease unilaterally? If not then they have to allow you to have 1 animal until the next lease is due.

YOu may want to see if your local Bar association has a animal right's bar or call PETA.

Good luck.

BTW they cannot ban service dogs. I don't know about those used for therapy.
